Supporting, developing and managing volunteersIt is estimated that over 5.2 million volunteers work with young people in England. The support and development opportunities provided to volunteers is essential if they are to deliver effective services to young people. The following outlines the support resources available to volunteer managers to help them in their role: Volunteering England offers a vast array of information, resources, network forums, and a telephone advice service to support managers of volunteers. NCVYS also provides information on how individuals can find a volunteering placement. Sharing practiceCheck out the practice sharing examples produced by Workforce Development Champions from voluntary and community youth sector organisations that work with children, young people and families.They provide tips on how to support and develop volunteers and the Champions are available if you need any more information.
