NCVYS offers local infrastructure organisations services through the following infrastructure functions:
Engage: Collaboration and networksPeer-networking opportunities with others from local infrastructure Specific events and networks around workforce development, safeguarding, diversity, youth participation Brokering of information and partnerships and linking organisations together Maintaining a database of organisations/ member directory Bringing together members and policy makers and others for joint working and policy making Opportunity to come together annually with members of the voluntary youth sector as a Council to determine policy and strategy and to network Community of Interest
Influence: Strategic engagement and representationOpportunities to influence government policy on issues that affect the voluntary youth sector Opportunities to feed into government consultations/ dialogue with policy makers Access national research Access to policy information National link and voice to funders Profiling opportunities for your network Voting rights, right to stand to be a trustee Opportunity for young people from the network to participate in NCVYS’ national youth forum, ENVOY
Develop: Capacity building and learning and innovationAdvice and development services on a range of issues including safeguarding and child protection, youth participation, workforce development, diversity, quality assurance Advice and development includes – information, advice, consultancy, training, support Momentum Support of regional networks
