Sound business skills are required to run a successful voluntary and community youth organisation. This is even more important in times of economic recession. The following organisations may be able to provide you with FREE support to develop those skills further. Please note that NCVYS does not endorse any of the services listed, therefore it is important to assess for yourself whether any service selected meets with your needs.

REACH is a registered charity which supports voluntary organisations and charities across the UK, helping them attract volunteers with a wide range of skills and professional experience.

Business Link is a government funded service providing information, advice and support to start, maintain and grow a business and can support voluntary organisations too. 

Small Charities Coalition exists to help small charities access the skills, experience and resources they need to achieve their aims e.g. matchmaking charities with other organisations.

Professionals4Free is a web site which singposts third sector organisations to free support from a range of professional services. 

The Cranfield Trust is a charity providing free management consultancy to charities and social enterprises.

Pilotlight provides small charities with expert help from leaders from business and industry.

The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation provides guidance and support to organisations involved in mentoring and befriending.
