Strategic Information Service (SIS) BulletinNCVYS provides a weekly strategic information email bulletin as part of our membership package. This gives an up-to-the-minute round-up of policy and Parliamentary news, with links to more detailed information. Members receive this as part of their membership benefits. NCVYS members can sign up by emailing their details to the Policy Officer, Dominic Weinberg (T: 020 7278 1041). Private, statutory and independent sector partners who would like to learn more about the voluntary and community sector can access this through the InfoStream service. Policy briefingsNCVYS produces regular policy briefings analysing the impact of national policy developments on voluntary and community organisations working with young people. As part of Speaking Out, which is a partnership project with Children England funded by the Office of the Third Sector, the project team produces briefings on cross-departmental policy areas that impact on children and young people such as community empowerment, youth justice, education, employment, training, health, housing and homelessness. Policy position statements, proposals and recommendations
NCVYS produces policy position statements and proposals on issues that are relevant to the voluntary youth sector. The Speaking Out project produces additional consultations responses and recommendations on cross-departmental policy areas that impact the whole of the children and young people's voluntary and community sector, such as child poverty, social mobility, youth justice and health. Exchange is a quarterly national magazine which brings together a unique collection of news, policy analysis and practical advice for voluntary and community organisations and networks working with young people. Exchange compiles articles, case studies, news items and pictures by expert contributors from the sector and beyond. Exchange is an ideal way of getting your message across to those working with children and young people.
