Trustee BoardNCVYS members elect a Trustee Board who take responsibility for deciding the strategic direction of NCVYS's work. Trustees are elected for periods of three years from the different sections of NCVYS's membership. There are also four spaces on the board for co-options. Trustees volunteer their skills and expertise to advise the NCVYS membership and staff team. The NCVYS staff team are appointed by the Trustee Board to translate strategy into practice. NCVYS staff service and work to strategic working groups and provide the interface between members and the Trustee Board. Susanne Rauprich - Chief Executive Susanne co-ordinates all of NCVYS's work areas and staff. She ensures that NCVYS is run for its members by its members through her accountability to NCVYS's Council, and the Trustee Board which it elects. Susanne also oversees all external relations. E: julie@ncvys.org.uk Maureen Nichols - Front of House Coordinator Maureen is responsible for reception and events within NCVYS, she also provides administrative support to the NCVYS office. E: maureen@ncvys.org.uk Policy and Communications team:Faiza Chaudary - Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Policy and Communications Faiza is responsible for the strategic development of public policy that impacts at local, regional and national level on young people and their voluntary and community organizations. Faiza is also responsible for the communication of policy positions through marketing, advocacy, partnership with policy makers and the media. E: faiza@ncvys.org.uk Yokeu Kusnama - Policy and Communications Team Administrator Yokeu is responsible for providing administrative support to the Policy team and acts as PA to the Director of Policy and Communications. E: yokeu@ncvys.org.uk Dom Weinberg - Policy Officer Dom is responsible for preparing consultation responses and policy briefings, conducting policy research and analysis work as well as campaigning and lobbying, and generally maintaining relations with Government officials. Dom is also responsible for the collation and dissemination of topical and current information of relevance to voluntary youth sector through the weekly Strategic Information Service (SIS) Bulletin, and he leads on the Youth Policy Exchange group and supports the work of the APPG on Youth Affairs. E: dominic@ncvys.org.uk Rob Candy - Communications and PR Officer This role is responsible for the NCVYS Communications Strategy, the NCVYS corporate identity and all marketing and PR conducted. It oversees the production of NCVYS publications and promotional material, and is Editor of the NCVYS quarterly newspaper Exchange. It is also the first point of contact for all press and media related enquiries. E: - rob@ncvys.org.uk Steven Pryse - Head of Member Engagement Steven is responsible for the development of NCVYS’s membership strategy and works to ensure all of NCVYS’s themes of work, services and projects meet the needs of local, regional and national networks and organisations. He also leads NCVYS’s youth participation strategy taking responsibility for the BIG Lottery Funded Young Partners Project. Steven also ensures that diversity considerations are integral to all our member engagement activities by leading on NCVYS’s diversity strategy. E: steven@ncvys.org.uk Keji Okeowo - Development Officer (Youth participation) Keji is responsible for enabling NCVYS members and potential members to critically examine their policies and practice with regards to youth participation and to assist them in the development of strategies that will increase young people's participation. She also supports and trains young people who want to be involved as volunteers or as members of the national youth forum. E: keji@ncvys.org.uk Selena Brown - Communications Officer for Young People Selena is responsible for promoting ENVOY - NCVYS’s national youth forum and developing the Young Partners Project. Selena’s key duties involve developing communications for young people and raising the profile of ENVOY through websites and other media as well as supporting young people to develop their own communication skills. E: selena@ncvys.org.uk Sarah Hadley - Development Officer (Young People's Skills) Sarah is responsible for developing and coordinating the skills and development strategy for young people involved with NCVYS. She is also responsible for developing mentoring, recognition and accreditation schemes for young people and supports NCVYS members by disseminating information on skills and training. E: - sarah@ncvys.org.uk Young Facilitators - Alexander Park (North West), Ari Johnson (London), Charity Mhende (West Midlands), Iniyam Subramoney (South East), Jack Brown (South West), Lucky Thandi (East Midlands), Rachel Rooney (North East), Robbie Foulston (Yorkshire and the Humber), Tom Gaskin (East of England) Young facilitators assist in recruiting and supporting more young people to get involved in the NCVYS youth forum, ENVOY across the nine English regions. As part of this role they promote ENVOY to NCVYS members and facilitate regional meetings. Young facilitators also have responsibility for assisting in the planning and delivery of ENVOY related activities and projects such as the Young Partners Award. Beth is also responsible for building and supporting an enterprise culture within NCVYS and across the NCVYS network, while actively searching for opportunities to generate trade income for the organisation. E: beth@ncvys.org.uk Jarina Choudhury – Development Manager (Networks and Learning) Jarina is responsible for NCVYS training to members and non-members, supporting member networks in how they learn and develop, and devising a network strategy for diversity and learning among NCVYS members. E: jarina@ncvys.org.uk Ana Brankovic – Development Officer (Markets, Products and services) Ana is responsible for the running of yeah CIC, NCVYS’s trading arm. yeah is a community interest company, one whose aim is to place young people and/or their benefit at its core. yeah is central to embedding a more entrepreneurial approach to income generation within the voluntary youth and community sector; it does this by offering members and the wider sector a range of services that include franchising and licensing opportunities, the piloting of products and services, and access to a range of professional advice through relationships built up with the social enterprise sector. E: ana@ncvys.org.uk Takita Bartlett – Marketing and Support Officer Takita is responsible for the development and co-ordination of product marketing and service delivery systems, and also contributes to NCVYS’s income generation by producing, collating and distributing the product/service materials for yeah CIC. Takita also carries out research and collects information from the membership on sector needs to ensure products/services are marketable. Gethyn Williams - Director of Workforce Development Gethyn is responsible for the programme management of the CWDC capacity building contract, he is also coordinating workforce development strategies and workforce policy development. E: gethyn@ncvys.org.uk
Nichola Brown - Development Officer (Workforce) Nichola is responsible for the development of the voluntary and community youth sector's workforce through the provision of information e.g. Snippets e-bulletin and advice to the sector. Nichola leads on writing workforce policy consultation responses and represents the sector at reference groups. She project manages and delivers the workforce development activities NCVYS is contracted to deliver via a CWDC consortium contract. Nat Ehigie-Obano - Director of Finance Nat is responsible for NCVYS' resource strategy and management. Nat also takes a lead in administrating IT support contracts, staffing and HR policies and strategies, trustee board support and governance.
