Speaking Out Small Grants Programme:The Final Word

The Speaking Out project has worked to raise the voice of children, young people and the voluntary youth sector that makes this work possible. It has proved to be an impressive and inspiring strand of work for Children England and NCVYS.

The project, as a whole, has worked to develop closer links between a range of government departments (Home Office, Ministry of Justice, Department of Health, Communities and Local Government, Cabinet Office and HM Treasury) and the voluntary and community sector in delivering cross departmental policies that affect children and young people.

Activities over the three years have included roundtable sessions, briefing papers, consultation responses and conferences, which have all positively impacted on the Speaking Out small grants work and their contribution to wider policy impacting on voluntary and community organisations.
