Is this course for me?

This course is for staff and volunteers who hold safeguarding responsibilities for young people within their organisation, for those who work with vulnerable young people in a specialised role and for people who wish to learn about safeguarding in BME communities.
Why choose this course? NCVYS has updated its Keeping It Safe standards and guidelines in line with the latest national standards. These brand new accredited courses are mapped to two levels of qualification with the awarding body ABC. The courses will cover safeguarding the wellbeing of young people and carries an extra module if you wish to learn about safeguarding within BME communities.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to -

• Develop a partnership approach to working with other organisations to safeguard young people
• Provide an integrated service that is young people-centred
• Manage your own professional boundaries
• Implement key legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures for safeguarding young people in your care

Both courses carry two units which are accredited and mapped to ABC Level 3 and contribute towards the Award and Diploma in Youth Work qualifications.
