  • Young refugee and asylum seekers - North West
    June 2009
    The report and recommendations around service provision were based on a participation event in March in Manchester involving young refugee and asylum seekers from around England.

  • Gang, Gun and Knife Crime: Seeking Solutions
    February 2008
    In partnership with the Association of Principal Youth and Community Officers (APYCO) and the National Youth Agency (NYA), the Speaking Out project published a series of recommendations for national and local government to consider on policy tackling knife, gun and gang crime, based on a round table event with representatives from the voluntary and statutory sectors. The report advocates that multi-agency work involving both sectors is key to responding effectively to this complex, multifaceted issue, and requires an appropriate mix of enforcement and prevention.

  • Drugs: Our Community, Your Say
    Home Office, October 2007
    With feedback from the joint NCVCCO and NCVYS membership, the Speaking Out project prepared a joint response to the Drugs Strategy consultation. The response is currently being integrated into a policy briefing paper that will be published shortly and available in both electronic and paper form.
