NCVYS Annual Conference and AGM 2010 When life hands you lemons - make lemonade!
When life hands you lemons, make lemonade! will celebrate the innovative nature of the voluntary and community youth sector during times of economic uncertainty. Our sector is renowned for delivering creative solutions to society’s most intractable problems and now, more than ever, we must strive to put innovation at the heart of our work. If the Government’s plan to build a ‘Big Society’ successfully changes the relationship between citizens and the state, we need to ensure that our sector is positioned to reap the benefits to ensure more effective youth services for all.
This year’s conference will offer delegates the opportunity to hear from speakers with a track record in cultivating enterprise, innovation and sustainable ways of working and highlight opportunities for your organisation to grow in a climate of challenge.
An exciting line up of speakers, including sector specialists, policy makers and charity leaders will offer insights into encouraging innovative practices, maximising your resources and cultivating new funding approaches. Our afternoon seminars will provide delegates with the chance to learn from the experience of NCVYS members on a range of issues from financial education for young people to best practices in social media campaigning.
